Summertime never gets old. Now that school is out, it’s time to gear up for Stormwater Summer Camp! We’ve put together some fun and educational activities for campers including a sightseeing boat ride on the Indian River Lagoon. Here in Indian River County, we value clean and healthy water in our lagoon, rivers, wetlands, and ocean, so it’s important to be mindful of everyday things we do that contribute to stormwater pollution and the connection between science and nature. The camp teaches leadership skills, engages in confidence building activities as well as outdoor science skills.Campers should wear closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, clothes that can get wet, bathing suits (no bikinis) and plenty of water and food to energize their exploration.
